this and that
1. The dude who delivered the ruling on Prop 8 wins a couple of internets. I don't have a copy of it so I can't quote, but he totally got the deadpan sarcasm award for the day.
2. Beer! Also, beer.
3. I suspect I am the only fangirl on the planet that really wants to see John and Sherlock not actually banging, but married anyway. You know. Since they're MFEO and Sherlock doesn't care for banging. He can do his little reptilian headtilt at the girls and/or dudes John brings home and they will be as happy as pigs in clover.
4. Insert brooding here over Big Bang and characterization of dudes including and not limited to Winona Kirk and how you don't have to be a conventionally Good Parent to be good at parenting, sometimes, sort of, maybe, anyway. Also the continuation of a joke in my head about how George was always meant to be the mommy in that household.
5. How the hell does it always happen that my DW/LJ paid time runs out like, four days before payday?

7. Left the sock I was working on at work, but yesterday I charted out a lace pattern to my own satisfaction (rosary stitch from Super Stitches Knitting) and tried to chart out a motif for the gloves I'm considering making -- only to realize that there's huge spaces of one color or the other, and I am actually not that stupid. I'm still digging through. I'd rather do a small motif, but haven't found one I like except one. There's a crown one that I like but I'm not actually sure about it yet.
7a. I was initially dubious about charts but now I really don't use anything but except for things where it's like, Knit until you want to kill yourself, decrease one, purl back. Since I refuse to knit like the right handed oppressors it's easier for me to figure out what I'm doing.
7b. I STILL have to chart out the pattern for the Willamette Hop socks, sigh.
