there's shit to do but I don't sleep well noc shift days, so I'm kind of dead today
I think I figured out part of the reason why Bones gets mulish - the system is set so that if you close the lid, he goes to sleep, and for whatever boneheaded reason if you're in a hurry and close the lid before he finishes shutting himself down completely, he goes to sleep and uses up his battery instead of finishing the shut down process.
Like I said, BONEHEADED.
As soon as his battery charges enough that he's willing to talk to me again, I'll futz with that and see if it helps.
Amy found me a pair of Footprints slip-ons by Birkenstock at Goodwill, which are extremely comfortable even if they make me look like a Canada goose, sigh. Oh well, better to be comfortable than to be cute, and bunions run in the family.
Amy also found me a bulky weight knitted cream-colored vest in the free box at her work, which she carried home triumphantly and I reduced to it's component yarn. (It was not an attractive vest. Who wears a bulky weight knitted vest when they wear a size XL? Especially a white one;you'd look like you're cosplaying a marshmallow.) I reckon there's about 300 yards of yarn there but I haven't skeined it to wash yet so I unno. :V I'm debating if I want to make another Urchin beret (my other one is uhhh bulky weight alpaca which was great when we have weather in the twenties) or a cat stuffed animal. =w=
....I really want a new bag, which is ridiculous considering the amount of bags I have kicking around, and yet, something deep in my heart is screeching, IT'S SPRING! I NEED AN ADORABLY PASTEL BAG TO SWING OVER MY SHOULDER AND LOOK CASUAL AND ELEGANT! ...not mind you that I ever manage to be casual and elegant in anything other than my handbags but A GIRL CAN DREAM OKAY. I actually want one of those slouchy leatherette numbers, but so far am remaining strong. Strong! I need a new purse like I need a hole in the head.
