happy oregon statehood day!
amy's out with her dude all day (she won tickets to Hamlet and they're going to go see that, although I pointed out that Hamlet is not on most top ten most romantic plays every written. she says they allegedly edited it to make it focus on the 'family issues'. I mean, what family issues, HEY MY UNCLE IS BANGING HIS BROTHER'S WIDOW, WHO INCIDENTALLY IS MY MOM? It's dude's favorite play and he's never seen it live, so who am I etc etc etc. Was it Kenneth Banarugh or whatever that filmed the version where Ophelia is sprayed with cold water from a fire hose to 'cure' her insanity and then Hamlet's mom lies and tells him she drowned in a stream when really she just found a cistern, and when Hamlet dies he's carried in a Christ-like pose on the backs of the weeping masses? ... I really didn't enjoy college Shakespeare classes.) so am going to work and then enjoy a peaceful late night knitting, doing laundry and ... reading gay pornographic fanfiction on the internet. TODAY IS AN AWESOME DAY FOR GAY PORNO ON THE INTERNET. \o/ Also they went out to the German place that he loves the best last night and she brought me the rest of her cake, which was more like a piece of fudge incidentally made with flour.
haruni shawl - am almost done with the set up and onto the repeat, as only an idiot would have worked on it yesterday considering I was half-asleep and making hilarious errors even on FLS's four-row lace repeat pattern. I just gotta finish the last row of the set up. Surprisingly very logical once you get past the first few rows, since the images of the leaves are very clear. I am a teensy bit dubious over the second chart, as I think I will have to figure out some way to mirror it to read left handed. >_> Thoughts? I usually read charts left to right, as if reading an English sentence, and work decreases as they are shown, which means I do k2tog for SSK etc. idek. I'll figure it out.
Feb Lady Sweater - no way in hell it's getting done by next monday sigh although I only have about six inches to go on the lace work and then the border and sleeves.
