lurching workward after too much time up watching dorama
1. Accidentally started watching Akihabara@DEEP while I was nominally attempting to move it over to the vids folder. I ... think this is actually the first time I've really seen Toma in a drama! I, I know. Also I really like it so far.
2. OH GOD MEI-CHAN IS THE CUTEST THING EVER. I hear it's based on a manga so I kind of want to read it, but I don't know how much difference there is. Of course if I had been the author the conversation would have gone --
TV: We want to make significant changes to your artistic vision.
MEG: What? No, you can't it needs to --
TV: Also we have a scene planned where Mizushima Hiro threatens to rub the heroine down with gleaming, rose-scented oil.
MEG: -- MAKE HIM GIVE ME A SHOULDER RUB WITH IT AND YOU CAN DO WHAT THE HELL EVER YOU WANT.
Also it's awesome because by the end of the first episode he clearly, clearly dotes on her and probably does things like get out of bed at night and sit and watch her sleep and sometimes looks up and thinks, You know, even if she's my Lady I spend an awful lot of time thinking about how to help her and guard her every moment.
I love his brother and if I was a better person I would not be wishing so violently for the brotherly loev no sanctioned by LJ. Not that I think they're That Way. It's more that I'd buy that doujinshi in a heartbeat.
Also expressions of eternal devotion as delivered by Mizushima Hiro in pouring rain: I know it's emotionally manipulative of the scipt writers and yet IT IS NEVER NOT HOT.
Besides which Becky and Sami and I may or may not have had disturbingly serious discussions about the time Mei-chan had to go to a shindig with the police department and there was the Police Commissioner's son and his friend and his friend turns out to be Rihito's third or fourth cousin. And the Commissioner's son and Mei-chan spend a lot of time clutching at each other as the only other sane person in the universe, and Rihito and his third or fourth cousin spend a lot of time alternately eying each other coolly and saying things like I beg your pardon, Tendou-san, have you seen Mei-sama? and similar. And there's a moment where Rihito considers killing Kagami but Tendou is like Yeah, no, MINE, and Kagami and Mei-chan clutch each other more tightly.
(And then it segued into our running theory that Tendou was a virgin before Kagami, and if Kagami ever finds this out and how long he spends on the couch for having not saved himself as well. Um.)
