LATIN FEVER!!! i've got the cravings...
over the weekend i went to a latin certamen competition (kind of like jeopardy). to say the least, we sucked. so we've decided to kill ourselves learning everything about latin in the next two months (at LEAST).. yay! i actually want to learn about the history and the mottos and the mythology and the daily life and beat every other school with our certamen and our other competitions. oh, and by the way, our scrapbook is going GREAT. a page a day is a pretty good ratio, especially when you also watch "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" in one day..(that movie is confusing, but intellectual..)
and i've also started up the guitar.. AGAIN. you know the song "Vindicated"? i can play the notes to it, and i'm going to figure out the chords as well. not to mention i might play some blugrass with my dad :)..
on sunday, my day was pretty slow except for dinner at the "communist restaurant" with my fellow bandos which was SOOOOOO much fun. the waitress was scary, especially when she asked in a menacing voice about the pennies on the table.. *shiver* thanks for all those who walked back to starbucks with me.. i appreciate it. no punishment or anything, just talking, but i don't think i've ever been so scared in my life.
has anyone heard of Alison Krauss? she sings bluegrass beautifully. here's the song i have in my head..
