I just found a cast iron Le Creuset casserole dish in 'granite', complete with lid, in Oxfam for £34.99. I deliberated over it for a few minutes, then decided that I had to have it. I managed to leave the matching saucepan behind though, although it was hard. I couldn't justify spending another £25 on it when money is tight. Still, getting the casserole dish for that price is pretty darn fabtastic considering it's roughtly half the price it would be new!!
I am soooo excited, and I know not many people will understand why, but I salivate over Le Creuset whenever I deilberately seek it out in department stores pass by it so this has made my day. I'm gagging to make a nice veggie stew and dumplings, but it's not quite the right weather and/or time of year.
Now if I could just find a pink Kitchen Aid food mixer in a charity shop, I can die happy.
