Tis The Season

Oct 12, 2006 18:17

I wrote a christmas song today. Its kinda nifty. It was a contest poem on allpoetry... and I think I won so somebody is going to sing it to a nonprofit organization on the like, twenty second of december.

-Kinda cool-

Hang the holly
Light the tree
Sleigh bells ring
Children sing
Presents are given
A great Lord praised
For he is the reason
So much joy is raised

Sing for the laughter
Sing for the season
Sing for its pleasant
Sing for no reason

Watch the people
Scurry and shop
Beautiful lawns lit
In the night people stop
we take time each season
For the praises are his
Nobody can deny
The glory that lives

Sing for the laughter
Sing for the season
Sing for its pleasant
Sing for no reason

Take time out
To pray for those who care
The salesman behind the counter
the girl over there
Just make sure you sing
Let the music fill your soul
Cause without this whole season
We couldn't be whole
