L-O-V-E
She looks at me, I look away.
She smiles at me, I stare at her with a blank face.
She walks towards me, I turn in the opposite direction and walk away.
She calls my name, I act like I don't know her.
She touches my hand, I pull away.
She calls my phone, I ignore her.
She saves me a seat beside her at lunch, I take the one farthest away from her.
She writes me a note, I throw it away.
She waits for me after school, I leave with a friend I don't even like.
She comes to my house, I make her think I'm not here.
I try to sleep....God I want her here with me!
I wake up and remember why I was so mad.
She brings me breakfast, I say I have already eaten.
She grabs me, "EMMA! this has gone on too long!"
I fade fast, deep into her arms.
Nothing else matters, NOTHING!
I smile and breathe her in.
She whispers I love you.
I YELL, "I love you!"
We bask in the "warm tinglies" that have taken over our hearts.
She leans in to kiss me, I pull her close and kiss her like it is our last kiss.
Our first fight behind us as we walk hand in hand into the future.
