But first, I did this and had to draw something for it ;w;
Anything-Goes Pokedex Noone knew about it because it's SO SMALL
awwww so tiny sheep
I also did one for my name, but I think I'll try that one later. Ice-Grass is intriguing.
OKAY SO today was the first day of my observation, and omg. I like these kids. I-I seriously want to pursue this.
It helps that I was assigned to the coolest teacher. We share a lot of the same views, and her class is set up exactly the way I'd want mine. And she's awesome.
Today there was a tornado warning, along with flash flood warnings. It's been raining nonstop for the past 24 hours, so I'm not really surprised about the flooding. What I WASN'T expecting was for someone to call in a sighting of a tornado right down the road from the school. I live in Maryland, and we are so NOT PREPARED FOR TORNADOES. We don't get those, we just get hurricanes.
Anyway, we're told to leave the classrooms and to stay in the hallway. Why the hallway, I don't really know. But we set everyone together against the walls and tried to keep them quiet. I found out that this was the FIRST TIME they had ever done this-- not even the drills did this. So some of the kids were kinda freaking out, and another teacher came around and asked if anyone had a stuffed animal for one of her fourth graders to hold.
I was all like "ohh hang on I have something"
Guess who was riding on my bag today? dohoho
So we're standing around trying to keep the kids occupied, and about an hour later we're allowed to go back to what we were doing. Instead of continuing the lesson, we talked about what happened and did a little bit of research on tornadoes. Good times.
Everyone was telling me how this has never happened before and that they're sorry this is totally not a normal day and wow.
I wonder how next week will be..
