Yes, you Mother Nature. I would like to take this time out of the day to thank you for gracing us with the recent abundance of warm, sunny days.
The higher the temperatures, the less clothing, and the more eye-candy there is to be seen around town. Thank you for that.
I would also like to thank you for the beautiful weather while I was at the IU Med Center in Indianapolis yesterday as well. Although the day didn't so much herrald any good news, it was sure a relief to see med students embracing the warm weather, and others embracing the rays as well. That's enough to make anyone feel good I suppose.
I also enjoyed last night as well. You gave a full moon, and pleasant temperatures as we hung out with Kyle, Ben, Michaela, and Abby at the HH.
I now demand that you keep the weather just as it is. Today is grand as well...
If you do not meet these demands, I am afraid I will be forced to take hostile action.
Sincerely,
Nikolas Alyn
And now on to the rest of this entry....
Note to self... I could smell something burning... and fire trucks just went by... hmmm... creepy?
Anyway, my apologies now for this being a slightly long entry.
So yesterday... I was down at IU Med Center again (for those of you who do not know, I am having some MAJOR liver and kidney issues right now). I saw yet another doctor who's name I could not pronounce, and had even more blood drawn. I found out that I am going to be having a very minor surgery on 4-20 to have a couple small pieces of my liver removed for further analysis. They are thinking that I have liver disease, lupoid autoimmune hepatits (not contageous, don't worry), or that my body has developed an antibody to my liver and is attacking it and converting it into fat cells, or just outright eating it. I have been given quite a bit of medicine, and have been put on some prescriptions to help my body "reverse" these effects. I haven't been absorbing much of anything, and there is a bunch of lipids and other items in my blood that the liver is supposed to take care of, but has not been. FUN FREAKIN' TIMES.
I must admit I am a tad nervous about the whole thing... and yeah... getting a hole in my side... I'll be on a 2-day driving restriction as well... let's see how well i listen to that.
I will keep everyone posted on what is up with this all. I'm remaining optimistic, and trying not to let this keep me down. The medicine has been making me feel better, and I have lost some of the water weight that I was retaining, so that is a good sign.
In other news... Caesar is sick as well... he gets to go to the vet tomorrow to see if it is a sinus infection or what... and Breña gets to go along with him for her second round of vaccines. The children will be very happy with me by days end I'm sure.
Last week when I went down to Indy, I took some pictures of One Indiana Square (the skyscrapper that was ripped up by the storms):
This is not my best photographic work ever, but at the time, it was raining.
I never did put up any of my New Orleans pics... here are a few of those as well...
Well, that is all for now. I will keep everyone up to date on everything, and I will let you know when I have my photo galleries updated so that you can check out all of my pictures. Until next time... L8erz all.
