I have a meeting in 45 minutes with one of my previous supervisors.
This is my boss from my time at SOEH and probably one of the better bosses I have had. She is definitely a manager and worked hard to keep things organized and effective for me. Many times I saw her deflect incoming .. stuff (be it political or organizational or whichever) so that I could do my job and be effective. I am sure for all the times I saw her do it, there were many more that I did not.
As SOEH changed (read: fell apart) and got absorbed into another department she also lost her job there. I know she is still working at UBC so I hope it worked out ok for her.
Anyhow, should be good to get back connected with her and see how things are going for her.
