Taking a bit of a late lunch today and thought I would get some nice comfort food at the SUB. Delicious chinese food served cafeteria style by the same grumpy Chinese lady who is always there. Makes me feel good on a cloudy rainy day. I did find a compromise with my stated weight loss goals and had rice with chicken & veggies instead of noodles with
meat candy.
The SUB is crowded today! Probably due in no small part to the rain outside, but I had to walk a full circuit of the upstairs and downstairs before I found a chair to sit at.
Graham is coming to visit me tonight. I wonder if he will bring his baby. I certainly hope so as it would be good to see her even in the sleep addled state I am likely to be in. He is coming down for a doctors appointment so not really to see me, which is good as I am leaving the house at 2:50AM.
I got a scary call from him earlier this week where I found out that he has, on two seperate occasions, blacked out and collapsed while walking to his vehicle after work. A few trips to the hospital, a two day session of observation by nurses and doctors, some tests, and they are sending him here to see a cardiologist. No word yet on what the problem is, beyond the obvious given the specialist they are sending him to, but he seems not the least bit worried about it, in a style typical for my family. I am a little bit worried for him, but I learned long ago to leave the worrying to things I can affect and this is not one of those things.
Only 27 hours to Sonoma!! Woot! The car ride down with Zach, Joel, Sheila, and Kat should be fantastic. I am stocking up on movies and music to kill some time, but I imagine the madness of the two car caravan should keep me plenty entertained (
dickpope).
