[Descole is sitting contently as a large tarantula spider crawls up and down his shoulders. He doesn't know why or where this thing came from, but it's quite a friendly little guy. Or girl. He's not sure. The large spider had been leaving a trail of webs around him, and he hadn't even notices the words it had been making until now when he looked

[In Hendel's case, it's a gigantic snake. A King cobra, to be precise.]

Oh how disappointing. You get this large animal, and here I am with a lousy bug.

[And here, Jean gets bit in the had, and the spider moves before he can be violently flung.]

[Hendel chuckles, reaching up to stroke her cobra's head.]

Oh, did she not come with a name of her own then?

Unless her name is "fear" which she wrote on me, but I'm still calling her Charlotte. It's much more fitting, if she's read Charlotte's Web.

[He strokes the spider.]

You don't do that though, do you. Did your...Cobra come with a name?

[Hendel chuckles, stroking his head still.]

[Hendel laughs, letting Dominus curl around her arm.]

[Descole gives a laugh.]

[Dominus just lets out a stop-and-start hiss that sounds like he's laughing, and Hendel chuckles a little herself.]

He wouldn't be my soul if he gave up his secrets so easily, dear Descole.

[Descole smiles.]

I suppose I can say the same for Charlotte.

[Here Charlotte begins spinning words on Jean's arm which say "I'll be silent if you will." This makes Descole wonder.]

[She hums a little, letting Dominus drop to the floor.]

You know Charlotte, I don't even know if you're a male or female, will you at least tell me that?

[The spider does nothing.]

[Descole sighs.] Alright, you're going to be Charlotte forever then. I hope you can live with that.

Well, Dominus said that dæmons are usually the opposite gender to the human they're bound to. So I suppose she probably is a she.

Well, she's not bothered by it, so I suppose so....

[The spider walks off of Descole and hanging on by a thread on the couch onto the floor with the snake, just staring at it.]

...She's a graceful little thing, isn't she? How beautiful...in a gross insect sort of way...
