Suggestions/Comments Post
Well, we've gone from a fest of about 12 people last year, to a fest of almost 30, and there's always teething troubles in an exchange, especially since this was the first fest for many of you fandom newbies! We'd love to hear your comments and suggestions for next year, anything from deadline changes to sign-up form changes (which there will definitely be some of those) to anything else you'd like to go on about. We wouldn't have an exchange without the participants, so we really want to hear what you think.
The only caveat I have for this post is that you do not under any circumstances bash your gift. I can't imagine why you would want to, but saying "don't match me with X next year!" is not a valid suggestion.
For anyone who wants to know what the matching-up process involved, it involved Tat and I sitting on my floor with 30 strips of paper and an Excel spreadsheet. Everyone had a different giver and recipient except one pair. For anyone planning their own exchange for any reason, you can't go wrong with Excel. That was one useful spreadsheet by the end of this.
Also I've been seeing people posting their exchange fic/art already, which is great! It's lovely to see it again. You can also post it to this community if you want to.
