It is quite possible if you have a layout that was created from scratch you are seeing a comments error on your journal. Here is an example:

Okay first if they are working with CSS3 we should be okay because a lot of the new aspects of CSS3 is not relevant to the layouts and others are where I'm getting my information and if a few things need updates... I'll let you know. I wouldn't worry too much. They tend to update the base code for layouts and then make it public. This will enable us to adjust things if necessary. But I'm confident things should be okay.
I'm sure it is possible to make a chameleon code for a paid layout but it isn't something I'm up on so I'm not sure I could do it. Now the app provides you with a "layout" of sorts but again the app sucks. So far, LJ hasn't thought ahead to mobile layouts but I would assume if they add that to the base code then we can simply add it to the layout coding. We'll have to see.
I think Flexible Squares was so popular because it was easy to customize and therefore became the most customize layout. I essentially learned most of my coding skills simply by altering Flexible Squares and I have now made almost 100 layouts and have several websites. You could say I love coding.
What I love about Weebly is that I can customize the layout. They have premade layouts to choose from (mostly not that good looking) but I just take one and customize it. Or you can actually start from scratch. They do have mobile versions which you can also customize and preview before saving. I would definitely recommend Weebly. The other things I love about them is I have 2 free sites in one account. Always save things you upload into their system though because should you change your base layout from one of theres to another things will disappear in your uploaded files. IE me Live versions of my layouts. So I end up having to re-upload them if I switch layouts. But this is only if I switch the to a totally different layout rather than say just the coding. There are things I don't love about Weebly but I wanted a free site which was easily customized and they provided it.

Thanks for your advices! I feel relieved, hope everything will be actually okay with all these updates and LJ keeps improving without fucking us too much. I've seen you finally found out how to fix that odd comments bar problem, so thanks for it too, I'm gonna edit the code right now! :D
About Weebly, I'd like to ask you one last question: can we organize the content of our website in "pages", like Wordpress? I think you told me about that feature, some time ago, when I asked you about the differences between the most popular platforms of blogging. That "page feature" is something I really miss in LJ, so if I can find it in Weebly, I'll set there my home site. You convinced me with its advantages :)
Thank you so much again for all your help! ♥

Believe me I've been worried about that too but it seems to keep working out.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Are you referring to having pages and blog posts as two separate things at Wordpress. If so... yes. If you mean can you see a list of them like at Wordpress (in the Dashboard) then no. Let me show you what I mean...
You can see the pages but it isn't as simple as Wordpress... still it isn't hard either.
See Weebly is primarily a Web site but it adds a blog into it. So it is really the best of both worlds and has a world more of function than Wordpress (unless you are buying into it).
The only thing I don't love is that if you make sub-menu's on the navbar you pretty much have to make a page or a link.
That didn't work out that well for my Outlander site which now needs to have a Season page before the episodes. I don't love that but I can work with it.
As for the blog posts... I don't use the blog function so I'm unsure. You can go to the site and start messing with it and see how you feel about it.

But yes, I think you've got it. I was talking about the capability to organize the content of the web in separate sections, instead of having all the post mixed in a "home page" (like LJ). For example; if I have two or three different anthologies of short stories, I'd want a navbar button named "short stories", which displays into submenus like "anthology 1", "anthology 2" (each of them with submenus of their respective short stories, too), and so on. Ok, it's a pretty dumb example, but you know, that's what I meant XD Not a blog, but a place to keep "tidy" my work, as a kind of archive. And I think Weebly definitely has what I was looking for.
I don't care about Weebly's blog, because I rather keep my blog here, in LJ. Maybe could I... syndicate it? Is it said that way? When you post something in a platform and it's also submitted in another automatically... Anyway, I think a web fits better with my purpose than a blog, so I'll follow your advice and mess with Weebly, it looks pretty interesting :D
Thanks again! I'm so sorry for being so annoying, but I appreciate your help a lot!

I got my blogs to post to my web page by using FeedInformer. You just have to know the "rss fee" of your blog and for LJ it is usually something like this:
http://USERNAME.livejournal.com/data/rss
Best part is I can add multiple sources so if I also wanted my Facebook posts to add to the feed I can. Plus it is customizable to your layout and specifications though it takes some learning.
Look. You aren't annoying me. Clearly I like helping people learn things so I'm here for questions like this.
If I don't know something I'll just tell you.
And I hope if you find something out you'd tell me. ;-)

Though I have almost no experience, I also love coding, so I'll do my best with Weebly :D If I find something really hard, I'll ask you for advice again. And don't worry, I'll tell you too if I find out something interesting! XD
Thanks! :)
