I only accidentally noticed this issue, when I logged in to my test journal and all of a sudden my own f-page displayed the controlstrip overlapping my headerimage. That's when I started to look into this problem and a different solution again.

This. I assume they just can't be bothered to fix any issues with the old friends page anymore, because they want people to switch to their annoying feed. Not that they're any better with other issues, though. I'm still waiting for fixes to several other staff-acknowledged issues I've reported over the last months.

Lol at the icon! Yeah, I know.... especially if people pay for the service!

Honestly, I've made it my personal challenge to work out solutions to circumvent most of the changes that annoy me by working out a fix on my own. I don't even complain about those. But there are quite a number of issues related to Javascript bugs and users can't really fix those!

Honestly, I'd pay to finally get the userpics in the contextual popup to link properly to the userpic page again! It took ages for someone from the staff to actually confirm that it is a more common issue and not something screwed up on my end!
