Always make sure you are using the Theme the layout is made for. If it is a Flexible Squares layout you must be using a Flexible Squares theme before going through the following steps.
1. Go to
Custom Options in Customize Journal.
2. Go to the Custom CSS link.
3. Marks all questions NO. (ie Use Layout Stylesheet, Use layout's stylesheet(s) when including custom external stylesheet, and Use external stylesheets) Paid users can mark yes to the "Use External Stylesheet" question if they have customizations made in the Custom Theme Layer Section.
4. Paste Coding into "Custom Stylesheet"
5. Change All UPPERCASE INFORMATION (usually image urls) within the coding with the direct link for the image you would like to use.
THINGS AREN'T WORKING PROPERLY:
1. Is the journal set to the right layout (ie Flexible Squares - check the layout post for the layout type)
2. If you are having a problem seeing the header make sure the width and height are the same as the header graphics.
3. If colors are showing up that shouldn't be make sure all the questions above the "Custom Stylesheet" coding space are answered NO.
