Is it just me, or has this show gotten WAY creepier?
I love how Dean always says "yahtzee" instead of "bingo". It are funny.
That urban legend where you hang your hand over the side of the bed and the dog licks it, only it turns out it's not the dog? Yeah. I always thought that was one of the creepiest urban legends EVAR. (Maybe second only to the one where the roommate comes back to her dorm room and goes to bed without turning the lights on so she won't disturb her roommate. When she wakes up in the morning she finds her roommate murdered and, scrawled on the wall in her roommate's blood, the words "aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?")
Dean: "I'm telling you man, humans!" FOR REAL. I love that the humans are the worst monsters on this show. It's like in Pratchett: "There are hardly any excesses of the most crazed psychopath that cannot easily be duplicated by a normal kindly family man who just comes in to work every day and has a job to do." Dean gets mad at the monsters, but he ultimately still thinks of them as just monsters who can't help themselves. Humans, though. See, Dean is a romantic. He expects humans to be better. And when humans aren't, at least on this show, they're invariably worse. Monsters do what he expects. Humans ought to be good in contrast, but instead they're unpredictably evil (witness creepy incest rapist dad killed in the teaser).
It makes me ache to think Dean will spend the rest of the season (or the rest of his LIFE) trying futilely to make up for what he did in hell. Maybe in the end he'll get to be absolved by God or something. I can't think of anything else that would get him off this guilt trip.
