Star Trek
Saw Benedict Cumberbatch over the weekend and he was AWESOME in all his megabass, super-baritone, kickass-villain glory. I snickered when his voice was heard first before he himself made an appearance :))
The movie was great too, though during the first few minutes I thought we had wandered into the wrong theater. I thought it was an animated movie, and then I thought it was a Star Wars animated movie with Kirk and Bones as two Jedis running from alien beings in a galaxy far, far away.
But Into Darkness was good, and I enjoyed it very much. I'm not into the fandom but I believe there're people slashing Kirk/Bones, Kirk/Spock and maybe Bones/Spock just for the heck of it? And maybe there're Kirk/Spock shippers versus Kirk/Bones shippers and why does that sound familiar? *g*
Anyways, I certainly got the Kirk/Bones and Kirk/Spock slash vibes and I wasn't sure for which pairing I felt it more. I got the Uhura/Spock pairing so I decided I'd go for Kirk/Bones until *that* scene happened - the one where Kirk died and he and Spock were looking into each other's eyes - just before Kirk died I mean, they couldn't stare at each other after, now would they?( and my mind flew to Dean and Castiel when Castiel walked into the river ) and just like that, a Kirk/Spock shipper was born lol.
Hmmm, I wonder whether's there's any manip of Misha as a Vulcan.
Bones season 8 finale. Halfway through and I was telling myself that the whole season has been a happy place for me, nothing to dread whenever there was a new episode ... until the last few minutes of the finale *cries* What I really can't understand is why Booth couldn't simply tell Bones the reason why they couldn't get married! *huffs*
Survivor: The one with the family reward challenge. Oh God, after 26 seasons, you would have thought that they'd learn that nothing good could ever come out of winning that challenge - damned if you do and damned if you don't. If I were to be on Survivor, that's one of the challenges that I'd GLADLY lose. And I lost all respect for Dawn.
Haven't seen the finale yet, am hoping that I won't be accidentally spoiled before I get to see it!
