I just watched The Oxford Murders. I know, I know, way too late.
Oh my, whoaaaa, Elijah!!!
I think I recognized
grievous_angel sitting there during the lecture. I know Arabia and Janinelearner were there too but I couldn't spot them. And for some reasons I thought
lbilover was there, too. Were you, Ellen? I still remember the HUGE excitement the making of that movie stirred on LJ at that time.
I've read the book but it was so long ago that I didn't remember who did it, or the motive, so it was quite a surprise, the reveal.
It's been a book!movie week for me. I've watched Persuasion ( 10/10 ),
Children of Men ( 6/10 ) and
My Cousin Rachel ( 8/10 ), Rachel Weiz was really awesome as Rachel. And I'm glad that I couldn't remember ( from the book ) whether she was an angel or a devil. Coming up next -
The Lovely Bones,
Rebecca and
The Memory Keeper's Daughter.
And I can't wait for
Murder On The Orient Express to come out. I love the book, I love the
1974 version - lol, this is one story I know backwards having read the book so many times and seen the 1974 movie quite a few times - and if you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it! Unless you don't want to be spoiled watching the movie of course. This book and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd are two of Agatha Christie's best books IMO.
