Resolutions.

Usually I post a list of twelve resolutions and then follow through with two or three of them. I like doing that. I get better every year. The first year I started this, I was in a terrible place mentally, and my resolutions were things like, get dressed every day, eat something that is not just processed sugar every day, etc.

But by now my life is fairly awesome (with the exception of it being winter, which always takes its toll, and my job being stupid, but I don't want to get into that now). So I am gonna just make three resolutions, because there aren't many things I want to do differently.

1. Don't use a screen in the same room as Sam. I know screens are bad for all children, but especially kids under 2. And now that he's older, he stares at a screen whenever he sees it, and it's downright creepy. He also twists his head into these weird contortions to watch. This will also have the added benefit of forcing me to be more present for my son. Which I need to do, especially now, since I have only six more weeks before going back to work.

2. Eat three different vegetables a day, and two fruits. I should probably aim higher than this, but I know myself. PS white potatoes don't count.

3. Go outside. Every day. It doesn't matter for how long. Shoot for daylight hours, but that's not even a necessity.

And keep everything else the same! Keep being nice to Seunghyun, keep cooking awesome food, keep hanging out with great people, keep skying with the family, keep going on adventures, but bring diapers from now on. Keep trusting your instincts when it comes to parenting, and try not to invent new things to worry about all the time.

Oh and help Seunghyun with his resolutions: study English and exercise more.
