So I discovered something weird and perhaps slightly embarrassing about myself.

When I was talking to David in Korean the other day, he asked why my voice was so much higher than usual. I thought about it for a while and realized that when I speak English, I make my voice lower ON PURPOSE because I think it makes me sound smarter. But my real voice is actually much more soprano, and I can't think about Korean grammar and vocabulary AND the pitch of my voice all at the same time, so I revert to my "real" voice, which, to be honest, is kind of annoying. My real voice's pitch is about the same as your average valley girl. Hmmm.

I didn't budget well this past month, so I ran out of money for bus fare to class. I ended up walking one way (which takes about 45-50 minutes) for a week or so, and somehow, this made me feel awesome. I didn't really walk much over the weekend (and also the weather was really rainy and dreary on Sunday) so I was really unhappy. But today, I walked again. And, like magic, my good mood is back.
