Meet my turtles!
They are A'Tuin (after the great turtle that carries the world on its back in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett) and 이순신 "Yi Soon Shin"(after the inventor of Korean turtle boats back in the day when the Koreans were fighting the Japanese).
A'Tuin is much more active, eats more, and runs faster when you take him/her out of the tank.
이순신 is much more chill but likes to climb on things and look around at his/her domain.
They are both supercute. I am pretty sure they are yellow-bellied sliders, but if you know more about turtles than me and I am wrong, please let me know so I can modify my feeding and care plans appropriately.
Conversation with David today:
D: So, I am wondering where I am gonna meet with you tomorrow?
E: Maybe Gangnam? I have to go there anyway.
D: Ummmm...
E: What? We can meet in Sadang if you want.
D: Well, I wanted to see the turtles.
E: Oh! So do you want to come to my house?
D: Yes...
E: You kind of think of them as half your turtles, don't you?
D: Um, yes...
