Well, they are quite lovely on other people. But I don't wanna wear them, and I don't want them cluttering up my closet, either, or strewn all over my floor so I trip on them. This, incidentally, is the purpose which they are currently serving.
Also, I used to work at a podiatrist's office, so I know exactly how bad those fashionable stiletto pumps are for your feet, legs, and back.
Yeah, I'd rather wear sandals than any other kind of shoes, but they aren't really sensible for trekking through fields of bee-attracting goldenrod or mushy wetlands or forests filled with poison ivy, which happens to be what I did in ecology lab today. Sneakers were definitely in order.
But I do wear sandals all the way until December...maybe not so good for my toesies, but good for my well-being.
