maaaan. I'm such a loser.
well, let's get this beast out of the way since I'm going to be so dang busy:
the empire state building wasn't quite as 'up there' as I imagined.
I think I had been building New York up in my mind for so long that it was completely larger than life and when I finally stumbled upon it, I was in shock at how "different" it was... not that it was disappointing or anything, but the way I interpreted it was waaaay off. Like, even the color of the city was more reddish than I would have imagined. hard to explain. There was definitely something about it that grew on me though (the whole 3 days I was there :/) and I can totally understand why people are so in love with the place.
I really need to get back there. and soon.
