Now that I actually have the time. Or the inclination- boredom is an excellent motivator.
Parents are in Thailand at the moment. It's nice to find out that me and my siblings can get by without making a complete mess of things. Me and the older of my younger sisters are taking it in turns being home, in order to look after the younger two. It's not hard- they generally just play the Nintendo all day- but it can get wearying.
Easter was pretty awesome. Got two sets of chocolates, one from my family and one from
ranorith's, which was nice. Unfortunately I lack the ability to control the amount of chocolate I eat, so I'm feeling pretty sick now. Still, sickness from eating chocolate is good sickness :)
My course is amazingly intense. I'm beginning to understand why I needed such high marks to get into it- if I hadn't got used to the idea of regular study by now I wouldn't be able to cope. Anatomy alone is incredible- I love learning it, but it's very easy to become overwhelmed with the sheer amount of information I need to memorise. Biochemistry is intense in a completely different way- it's a more conceptual subject- but I don't dislike it the way I did chemistry. It's all so... relevant. I can understand why I'm learning things, which is an excellent motivator.
Other than straight coursework, we also need to learn animal handling techniques (the fun part). Not often- maybe twice a term we get to see actual live animals. Last time I got to wrestle with a cow's head (it's body was held), open it's mouth and pull out it's tongue to take a look. I understand if people don't envy me, but I loved it :)
It's hard to have a life and pass my course at the same time, but I'm trying. Watched 'Mr Bean's Holiday' last Saturday- it had maybe two good moments, in the entire film. I wouldn't recommend it for the story or the comedy- although the French scenery was very pretty.
Hmmm... done.
