Thank you for letting me know that. I agree that Ted's connection with Brian was always of utmost respect. He got to know and understand him in a very grown up, adult way, and made for a very genuine friend. Glad you enjoyed this.

That was beautiful. I love the love of Ted for Brian. I mean, I've always believed that Ted is closer to Brian than Michael would ever be with Brian. I mean, yeah, Michael is Brian's childhood best friend. But Ted understands Brian more than Michael cos both of them had been through hell even if the experiences were different for each of them. And like said in the fic, Brian trusted Ted so much to let him handle his personal financial affairs as well as business affairs.
And I, like the other commenters above me, love the post-513 Mel and Ted's convo. It's true, isn't it? Without Brian, Mel wouldn't get to be the parent of Gus.
Great fic!

I thought so too, especially after season 4 and 5. They have a much more adult friendship than what Brian shares with Michael. Not to say that Michael isn't important... he allows Brian's inner child to stay alive, at all ages, and that is a great thing. But I always felt s4-onwards Ted had a very grown up friendship with Brian.
Thanks for reading. :)

I love the creative way you used the icons. Would have enjoyed more dialogue in the earlier sections to match the way it was used in the later ones. "Unflinching and unafraid" so perfectly describes Justin, esp. in his relationship with Brian!

And yet, I'm thrilled that even our disagreements can help boost my creativity, because if we hadn't had that conversation, I doubt I would've ever written this piece. We should disagree more often. ;)
Glad you enjoyed the use of the icons. Thanks for reading, hon! :)
