I'm So Effing TIRED of This
Okay so Cory calls to tell me the cable TV and internet is out. (This is a rant in and of itself: what if I have to troubleshoot something? I'm freaking 45 minutes away in North KC! Call yourself!) Anyways. I say I'll call, and already I'm not happy to hear him say that because I have a payment arrangement with these damn Cable Nazis that states I will pay my balance no later than January 27th. Today is the 22nd, by the way. So I'm PISSED. These fuckers turned me off already???
So I call on the cell. Get an automated lady stating that "all circuts are busy." So I figure something's up with the Nextel network. I get on the landline at work, and get a busy signal. So I keep trying. And trying. And trying. Nothing. Nada. I phone Cory back and tell him I think there's something big going on and how I cannot get through for anything. He promises to let me know if anything comes back on so I don't spend the whole afternoon cursing and screaming at a busy signal.
So I continue trying to call. And trying some more. Cory calls to tell me that the TV is on, but internet is a no-go. I continue. I am STILL trying.
My point is this. I know shit happens. There are outages. I'm not expecting perfection here. But we had no ice. Just some snow. And this is the second outage in a month. They JUST raised my rates again. What are they using my money for????
I'd go to a dish but in St. Joe, you have to have the local cable company's permission to offer local channels. And my cable company, the incompetent assholes, you can guess they sure aren't going to let anybody else carry those local channels. Monopoly anyone???
