I ate some candy last night that has caused my mouth to taste terrible ever since. It's still happening! It's an 18-hour-plus bad aftertaste. I have tried several things to make it go away, including eating other things (some of which make the bad taste flare up even stronger for a little while), scraping my tongue with a tongue scraper, and rinsing my mouth with both salt water and diluted hydrogen peroxide; and after all of that it's still going strong. I have found that the things that made it worse were drinking some Emergen-C and eating food with nutritional yeast. The diluted hydrogen peroxide temporarily replaced the one bad taste with a different bad taste. The salt water might have helped for a little while, or it might have just been that all I could taste was salt for about 10 minutes afterwards.
Does anybody have any suggestions? The candy was the nasty sort which can typically be found at CVS.
