A couple of my friends were talking about children today. Most of them said that they would never want to have children for fear of ruining their figure. Or as they crudely put it, "I don't want saggy boobs."
I find that the most superficial and offensive comment someone, anyone, can make about having children.
Giving birth to a child is (trying not to sound like a Sunday School Special) one of life's miracles. A joy that only women can feel and be a part of. There is absolutely nothing "gross" about giving birth or any cons.
I would gladly give up my life for my child. Or any child for that matter. I would endure any pain or "ruin" my body with stretch marks to have a child. If someone was to never have children and experience this event (ALL WOMEN ARE MEANT TO EXPERIENCE) because of their superficial ideas then they don't deserve to have children. Or hear a child's laughter, see a child smile, and watch a child grow up. A child will bring you more joy to your life then any "perfect figure" will.
I found that comment extremely disgusting and I hope and pray that there aren't more people out there who would choose to have a nice body (that might I add will sag anyways due to gravity for it is a natural part of life and growing old) then to bear children.
