you know for being in the midwest, i would've thought these people would have come up with something a bit more mannerable, but it makes sense.
yesterday morning i decided to ditch my night class, jump in a car with laura and liz, drive 3.5 hours south to springfield to watch stephen kellogg and the sixers play a gig in a hotel bar. It took us 4 hours to get there, an entire hour to get out of this city. We didn't get home til 315 and laura had work at 815, and i thought i had class at 830, until i checked my email this morning and it was cancelled.i also have class til 930 tonight.
most would find it irresponsible but think about it, when am i ever going to have the opportunity to jump in a car with liz and laura on a monday night and be in a car for a total of 7.5 hours just to see the sixers play in middle of nowhere illinois? probably never again.
with a lot of us, and by a lot of us i mean practically all my college friends, leaving chicago after graduation it's a time to spend together doing nothing but living it up.
that show, little mermaid sing along on the way home, great music off laura's ipod and that great bathroom at the gas station...gooood stuff.
