(no subject)
I think I haven't posted in a long time. War was good, except my back inexplicably hurt so much I couldn't walk on Friday, but then a massage therapist came and helped. But no fencing for me. It was nice meeting lots of peoples. And I bought things. Trim and buttons for my pirate jacket that I'm making for Holloween, and a bodice, and a spindle and wool for spinning. Now I just need to learn how to spin...
I have some orthodontics in my mouth to try to make my mouth bigger so that I can get braces to make my teeth straight. And today it broke. Now it stabs me in the roof of my mouth, and I have an appointment with the orthodontist at 1:30. I was driving home this morning when it broke, and I spent the rest of the drive, trying to hold it off the roof of my mouth with one hand. When I got home I tried to put some braces wax on it, but that didn't work, and I finally ended up with a piece of paper towel wadded up under it to keep it from stabbing the roof of my mouth. Hunks of paper towel in the mouth are kind of yucky. But better than having bits of metal stab me.
Tomorrow I have an interview with people for the birthright program (free trip to Israel). So hopefully I'll get to go to Israel this winter.
I know why I haven't posted in a while! Because I don't do anything to post about. Any second now I'll write a resume and start looking for a job or something. Really. Soon.
