against the odds o.O
Our book du jour, bbs, is the last installment in the Serrano legacy series. Things turn out all right for some of my favorite characters, but tragedy devastates others.
This is one series I wish didn't have an ending. There is the lingering feeling that wherever they may be, the characters in the Serrano legacy series are just off somewhere getting on with their lives.
Heris, Esmay, Barin, Brun, Lady Cecelia and the rest.
I wish Elizabeth Moon would add on to this series; but then they say that the trick is always to leave your readers wanting more. And I want more of these characters.
Note, though. I was getting Heris and Petris confused with Sassinak and Ford (in the Planet Pirates series). Maybe because they were much in the same situation, and after all, Anne McCaffrey collaborated with Elizabeth Moon in that series. Also, both couples are in the Space Fleet, albeit in different universes.
