Saturday:
Luckily I was able to fall asleep on the bus ride there and back. Each trip was between 2.5-3 hours. It was only the second day of the season for Disneyland Paris, or so I was told. There was on and off rain throughout the day that worked in our favor because there because it cleared a lot of the crowd. Luckily, most Disney rides are indoors anyway. I rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Tours, Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Snow White, Big Thunder Mountain, the Indiana Jones Roller Coaster, and It’s a Small World. Disney is most concerned about sending cars/boats/trains out as soon as possible since there’s always another one coming in behind it, ready to unload. That’s why Hillary and I ended up being the only ones on our train on the Indiana Jones roller coaster, which the crowd found hilarious. Our longest wait was 45 minutes, and for Pirates of the Caribbean, we were able to just walk right on. Rides were mainly in French most of the time, but often in randomly placed English as well. I’m glad that they didn’t adapt the pirates ride to be like the movie, and in fact the ride was longer than its counterpart in Florida. I was also happy to ride Snow White since they replaced that ride in Disney World. Overall it was a very good day and was well planned by the international students association at my school. It was seriously a bargain. 25 euros for entry into the park, the bus ride there and back, and for breakfast with hot chocolate. Fantastique! I also bought a sweatshirt since I really don’t have one that fits. It’s a red Disneyland Paris one that I saw earlier in the day and bought on the way out. It was 29.90 euros, so it could have been more overpriced.
