Wyatt showed up. A little late to the party but with bells on!
He was born Tuesday 1/04/05 at 7:45 pm and weighed in at 7 lbs 15 ozs. Strangely, Rachel was also three days late, due on Saturday born on Tuesday weighing 7.11, 20.75 inches at 7:52 pm. I guess my babies know the routine?
Anyway, he is adorable and very social. His apgars were great (9/10) and he only let me push for about 10 minutes before he came out screaming. A very pleasant birth experience despite some worry about my blood pressure and reflexes which seemed to go all wacky as active labor started. I ended up with Magnesium Sulfate during labor and delivery but it turned out to be a relatively minor annoyance. I made it to 7+ with very very manageable contrax and then got the epidural prior to my OB rupturing my membranes (she wanted Wyatt out pretty quick given the sudden moderate pre eclampsia)
I will write an actual birth story soon, with pictures. But we just got home from the hospital--with a pit stop at McDonalds for a very proud big sister Rachel--and I must go nurse the munchkin (he is nursing and pooping like a champ--yeah!).
