I have to figure out how to tell my mother that calling every morning at 5 am is not the best way to get a hold of me. So far politely asking is not getting me anywhere. I love my mother but that is too early.

One thing I've learned so far is to expect the unexpected with this job.

Still, I don't think I've ever gotten a work call THAT early. Frankly, if Jack called me at 5am, I'd be sorely tempted to hang up the phone.
