Thanksgiving

David didn't ask her to cook, which she's more grateful for than she'll let on. Instead she orders Chinese, a sad substitution for a home cooked Thanksgiving dinner, but it's better than nothing. Anya bops in, in jazz pants, and wide necked sweater, hair in rollers.

She's bouncing with nervous energy, dragging her suitcase and dress down with her to put in the rented car that she really ought not be driving alone yet. Suitcase by the front door, dress hung on the back of the closet door.

Into the kitchen to grab a glass of water.

"Hey."

An round of expletives can be heard as the Alien Scum kill David.

Alan arrives...well, a time wasn't specified, but it's never too early to begin playing Halo 2. He comes bearing a pumpkin pie and, more importantly, an extra controller for that inevitable moment when Lilah finally admits to wanting to play as well. He rings the doorbell after pausing a moment to listen to the shouting.

She moves aside so he can come in, then takes the pie from him.

"I was on the phone ordering dinner, so I'm not sure how many. The pie, I'm sure, will suffice."
