I guess it took an extra month, but I did it. I reached my first weight loss goal of 20lbs! I guess maybe I should have started cardio kickboxing sooner. I am really surprised that I have lost weight while I'm at school. My eating has been worse than when I was at home, and I haven't consciously exercised more than about three times a week, which is less than I did at home. However, I know I encounter more stairs now and walk around more now. I also think I eat less on most days. Either way, I had been wondering if my scale was wrong, because it seems like weight had been dropping off relatively quickly in the last two or so weeks. I mean, I've lost about 4-5lbs (which I think I gained a lb or two when I first got here). I still don't really see where I look differently, but man, I think what made me start believing the scale is putting on pants and finally they have space in them. I can hold them out away from my stomach and there's a bit of emptiness, enough to make me think I can go down one size. I actually did buy a size large in elastic pants with my school name on it rather than an XL, but that doesn't count--jeans count!
I haven't really thought much about this, but I am thinking of setting my next weight loss goal of another 10-15lbs by Christmas. I don't think I will really need to lose all the weight I thought I would need to, because I don't look like I weigh as much as I do. I am now down under the 200s!
