Z104 had a poll this morning. They felt that the things that you hate about someone close are also things that you love about them. I gotta tell you, I think that only goes so far. Someone mentioned cheating, but I think that there are more exceptions to it than that. And I'm not talking specifically about my wife - I think that the same holds true of parents, siblings, close friends, and right on down the line.
Example: I have people in my life who are very quick to jump down my throat. They tend to judge my actions based on their perceptions of the situation, and then I have to prove them wrong. Now you might say that this isn't how a relationship is supposed to work. You might say that people who like or love each other are supposed to be more patient than that - give you the benefit of the doubt. They're supposed to withhold judgment until they fully understand the situation. And I say yes, but you're thinking logically. You're using rational thought, and we can't always choose to be in relationships with logical, rational people. Some relationships we're stuck in; and they're usually worth being stuck in, but not always.
I'd love to hear what my logical, rational audience of one (maybe two) has to say about this poll bullshit.
