Question to separated parents
I need broader input than I can get on my LJ alone. I appreciate your indulgence if this is slightly off topic.
What constitutes a nightly call to children in a divorce situation?
My ex and I have a strong disagreement about the amount of time of the nightly phone call to the children. We have wildly different ideas of what is right, and this will most likely end up in court if one of us doesn't back down (and I know I won't, and I am 99% sure she won't, so it'll require a judge to force it).
But before we go there, I need to know what is the normal?
What do you do if you're in this situation? Also, if you aren't but know of someone's arrangement that will help too.
