Wow...Uhm...we're really at week 3 of Workshops?
There's only 4 REAL weeks left before we do this thing and one weekend of "stuff" before we open?
1. Coming in at week 3 is awesome and scary all at the same time.
1a. Having the newer performers and the first years go to a seperate basic class for the first 2 weekends makes things SO much easier for them to have one-on-one stuff with instructors.
1b. Cast bonding is a little more difficult with first years when we're not all there from day one.
2. HOLY SHITE! My fight partner had surgery and can't fight for 6 weeks! We're all gonna die!
2a. Ann Ellis is a great director and has faith enough for all of us. Thank God.
3. I hate the dialect tape. I want to dig out my eardrums with a spoon and feed it to Dr. Whoeverthehellheis.
4. I can make patrons kick people...Seahawk people to boot!
4a. Never, ever say that Flower weights her bread.
4b. Flower will take you by the ear, lead you around and convince a woman that she should kick you for lying.
5. New Guerrilla game are cool.
5a. Hawk come, Hawk kill. Die!, Not Today! "I make-a this pasta for you, Thank you very much but not today..."
5b. Took all of 30 seconds to undo 6 weeks of English and revert me to Italian. I love a challenge like that!!
6. When I give you pure freaking GOLD in a scene, take it and use it!
6a. I accused you of breaking a patron's finger - do not ignore me and talk about me making bread. I just said you were violent and you want to talk about the patron's stomach and not their broken finger?? WTH?? GAH!!
7. When Dan punches you in the shoulder in the parking lot after the whole day is over, don't panic because you look pretty stupid if you do. It isn't always a bad thing...
7a. "You did a good job today."
7b. Narrowing down what I did a good job ON helped me figure out what my strengths and weaknesses are.
8. Flower seems to be very well received with the majority of cast and instructors that I have had contact with.
8a. She is open to interpretation.
9. I would like to spend time in class with my daughter and get to know her.
10. Even when I wanted to bug out quickly after workshops because I wasn't going to socialize, I still get sucked in.
10a. I really do have friends on cast, whether I want to believe it or not...or think I need them or not.
So, here we go. Just the first (third) weekend riding the short bus to visit Einstein...or rather the roller coaster to the circus! Buckle up, campers! Here we GO!
SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!
