theatrical_muse. 168. Party.

Party.

I don't do parties.

I'm not into the idea of being stuck in a room with a bunch of people I hardly know, talking about things I either don't know about or couldn't care less about, pretending like everything is okay when I know that there are unsolved cases on my desk or that someone will die about every fifteen minutes.

Also?

I don't like cheese doodles, cheese trays, or any form of cheese related snack food. It's all the same to me after a while.

But mostly it's all one big fake act to me. I don't know most of the people at a party and those I do, I don't know very well. Nor do I really want to get to know them. I don't care about their cars, their pets, or their kids' school plays. None of that matters to me. So much of conversation is superficial, materialistic...utterly meaningless.

People don't really interest me until they're dead.
