Dog-Blue Lacy or Blue Tick Coonhound ???
All my life I've wanted a dog. Every birthday, every Christmas I would ask my parents for one. I wanted nothing else for a good ten to fifteen year span. NOTHING! One time my mom asked what I wanted and I said a dog, and if you don't get me a dog, ask Taylor what he wants and get him extra presents. I've never gotten my dog!!!
So now that I'm at the point in my life that I can start deciding my own things and living my own life, I am looking up dogs. Of course I'm not going to get one while living in the city, apartments and the dogs I want just don't fit. Plus I don't think it's fair to them. :(
SOOO...requirements for a dog....
Will go hunting with me
-help me out when I want it (treeing squirrels/coons, scaring birds)
-chill in my deer blind all day (not bark at random shit)
I can take for jogs on a leash
-little dogs can't go on leash runs
Don't want one that's too Big
-most retrievers I am seeing are too big
-labs, not so much either
Not smelly
-yes, I will bathe it, but I don't want on that just has a natural nasty odor
Not an annoying bark or barks at everything
-you know what I mean
Good with other people
-fuck that, I want to bring him everywhere and not be worried
-Sorta like rupert is fun with everyone
Healthy breed
-don't want a breed that is notorious for bad genes
Beyond that, I don't think of too many real requirements.
The two thoughts I've been having were a bluetick coonhound and a Blue Lacy
Does anyone know anything about these dogs, or any dogs that will fit my requirements...?
I keep going back to the coonhound, but it says to not have with other pets, I have two cats that I'm not gonna rid myself of for a dog. Hmmf
