(no subject)
So, recap I guess of the happenings of my life. Classes are finally over and summer break has finally begun. It wasn't the greatest of semesters, probably the worst. Grades were down the toilet, was forced to change my major, and things seemed even harder to deal with. Yet, Im still here and have discovered that I can overcome it all. The crew season went fairly well, and was happy to at least stay in the varsity boat. I did however move from two seat to four with the rest of the monsters in the engine room. I'm the smallest guy in what should be the biggest persons seat. All the other teams we face have four seats that are at least twice my size. Yet we managed to impress and probably amaze a few other crews this season. I doubt that Drexel or Loyola figured we would be right on or ahead of their bow ends at the finish line. Tomorrow I'm leaving for Norfolk for the weekend to visit my oldest and best friend. In some ways i envy his freedom and life on his own. Being able to do what he wants when he wants. I also wish I had the responsibilities he now has on his own. I want to be able to face such things just to see if I could handle it. To prove to myself and not just my parents that I am old enough to take care of things, that I'm finally an adult. But, that time doesn't seem to be in the near future, and I'll have to continue as the responsible/sacrificing child of a monetarily weakened family for now. Running is continuing to be the main thing that distracts me, and having a close friend to push me harder is a most welcome change :). Well, that about sums things up and I'll need sleep for the long trip tomorrow and the long weekend that follows it ;)..night...
