I can't believe that I went online at Gateworld (the first time in quite a while may I add) and totally forgot to say anything here about the season finale of BSG.
Frakking awesome - is what I thought, from the conclusion of Baltar's trial, how what Apollo was, even if it did take a while for him to get there, that they have all done terrible things yet been forgiven for them, where as Baltar because they don't like him was held up as the one to be killed for his crimes. Although I agree with him, part of me wanted to Baltar sent out of the airlock, and I don't really know why. I like his character he's a useful one to have around, but still I could have quite happily sat there and watched as he gasped for breathe floating off into space - BSG makes my dark side rear its ugly head - can't you tell, no??? Well alright then.
To the four of the final five cylons being uncovered, and of course the return of one of my fav BSG characters ever - even changing the characters sex from the 1970's original couldn't dampen my liking of Starbuck. What a great way to end a season, other shows should pay attention, because when BSG delivers, oh boy does it ever. And of course it raises a hellava lot of questions that need answering when they return.
House - last night is a prime example why I started to ship Cameron/wilson.
1 - I like Cuddy/House banter, but the thought of them having sex - ewwww (probably because I do have male friends I flirt and banter with but never in a million years would I sleep with any.... let me think - no I'd definitely never sleep with any of them.)
2 - Cameron/Chase - I get it I really do, they're hot, they're both the same age, they do the same jobs, work the same hours, they're (I'm sure) at it like bunnies in real life, but really, these characters, even with Chase solving some cases and Cameron taking on a few of Houses character traits (Que Sera Sera and Informed Consent come to mind) I just don't see the spark between them. In interviews I've seen with the actors its there, but as the characters I don't see it.
3 - I loved House's smirk at the end, but if I still shipped House/Cameron as much as I did in season one/two (because lets face it there's still a little piece of me that wants them to get together) I would have gone ughh - why couldn't he have at least slammed the damn closet door first.
4 - In line with my shippy heart I wanted more Cam/Wilson time. Oh well in my head, they're in his office discussing the weeks events and taking part in some good old eye sex.
End of House rant - until next week I'm sure!?!
The Tudor's - my boyf watched with me, mostly (I think) because of all the breasts on display, but I was so happy to watch and go OMG he/she was in so and so, and have my Boyf go "what the hell??" and then I realised he didn't know any of the show's because they were all before my permanent move over the atlantic, so I had to bite my tongue from then onwards. Hehe
Sometimes I genuinely forget I'm english, and then I'll see some one who was in Grange Hill when I was a kid and it hits me like a ton of bricks. Anyway, I loved this new show, it was great, I miss Rome but The Tudors does sort of fill that void, can't wait for more.
On a final note, I've been really looking forward to this weeks CSI, especially with the promo's and spoilers I've seen. And then I go to TV guides website, damn you LH and TPTB, why can't you leave my GSR alone, especially at the final hurdle, I swear it nearly took the edge off my excitement for tomorrow night's episode.
I was going to be nibbling my finger nails at the end of the season anyway, because the MCSK is tense enough with out LH and her insights into Grissom's character.
Just when I was finally able to watch the OC with out hating Julie Cooper this season - damn you CSI PTB, if it doesn't end well for the GSR this season, I'll have to envision all of TPTB being thrown out of BSG's airlock.
In the immortal words of Jen Linley - That is all... goodnight!!
