How I became fascinated with this five bright, shining stars....

Well, I should say it all started with this top anime, One Piece.

It was summer of '08 when I got into the fandom.

When I was in 5th grade; in my home country, Philippines, I had a friend who's also into animes.
He told me that I should watch One Piece, because it's "really funny."
I told him, I don't want too. It looked stupid. And it was shown on the other local station that I hated so I didn't even bother.

Two years later, in America, I got into more animes after watching a lot on the computer.
Usually, in Philippines, I was just able to watch animes from TV [dubbed Dx]. We did have a computer, but the internet is SO SLOW... And there was nothing in my knowledge that I could watch them on it.

I just finished watching Lovely Complex, one of the best shoujo series out there.
On this website where I've watched it, they have a list of series on the right. I saw "One Piece."
Then I remembered what my friend said to me back then.
I was craving for a new series to watch, so I was like, why not give it a try?

I watched the first episode. SO. EFFIN. HILARIOUS.
I couldn't control myself to stop watching it. Why would I stop, anyways? It's so pwning awesome.

I love music, despite being an anime fan.
So whenever a catchy OP or ED comes up: instant dl! I plug my phone then transfer that song in a sec.

I've watched the whole 200+ ep, from the Vivi arc to the Thriller Bark arc.
A new OP song came, which is not really that new... but,
It's called "We Are", and it's a remix ver. of DBSK.
I loved the orig song since the very first time I saw One Piece.

My best friend from when I started RPing, kimmarchetta , was a Cassiopeian at that time.
I wasn't really into Korean stuff, including music or drama,
but I was excited about it that my "One Piece" and her "Dong Bang Shin Ki" collaborated.

Then they sang the next OP, "Share The World." I just liked the song, but still didn't paid attention to the artist.
I tried listening to their songs, but I've only listened to their JP songs, which are mostly ballad or slow-tempo songs. I don't like ballad.
Back then, I was amazed that even though they're Koreans, they sing Japanese songs...
But still, I wasn't that interested.

At the end of last year, another bf of mine, (not just on the net but in person,) juudaime13665 , suddenly showed her fanaticism of them to me.
She asked, "you know them?" while she played one of their songs [I think it was Share The World and/or Survivor];
then I said, "oh yeah, they sang 2 One Piece openings...!"
Day by day, she would fantasize about "a guy" named Hero. (I wasn't familiar with him yet, okei?? xD)
"Nyeahh,, he's okay." [I have SUPER HIGH standards >>;]

One day, I was sick. I stayed at home. Bored. I don't usually watch TV, but to kill boredom, I turned it on.
We are subscribed to some Filipino channels. I flipped the channel to MYX, which shows music videos and stuff from both US & Asia.
The show that was on is called MY MYX; they show requested music videos.
From there, the title said "Balloons - Dong Bang Shin Gi." Right on time.
I was like, OHEMJEE. They're THOSE GUYS!!!

I've watched the whole video 'till the end. So cute, is what I was thinking.
That guy named Hero, (I finally remembered after juu's everyday fantasy + showing his pics to me). It was the first time I saw him smile.
I told this to juu-chan.

After I while, I watched some of their Korean songs. Then I saw MIROTIC.
OH. OH. OH.
MY GAWD. SO BEASTY AND SEXY AND MANLY~~~~
I didn't realize I was already throwing 2D bishies away and going for these rising gods...

And then I've watched more videos, from behind the scenes, the games they played, to the dramas........
Oh my veggies, they show that they can be just adorkable little kids.

AND NOW that is how I joined those screaming fangurls (and even fanboys!) to support the in-the-pinch crisis that they should not disband.

____
I don't know why, but I just felt like telling how I got into Dong Bang Shin Ki. Maybe its because of the horrible things that are happening to them right now..? Either way, I support them as one group; may it be as Cassiopeia or BigEast, TVXQ,
 ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH.
DONG BANG SHIN GI, FIGHTING!
