Family Update

Sebastian was back at the doctor yesterday for his 4 month check up. He's up to 13 lbs 9 oz and 25 inches. So he's growing really well. He loves to nurse! He looks all healthy and got the all clear to start trying solid foods. So I picked up some baby food from Target today. I'm sure Josh will want to see him try food for the first time this weekend :) He is a sweet heart and loves attention. He has the sweetest laugh, and is always trying to talk to us with his yelling and grunts. He sleeps decently well, but always want to be on my lap or at least next to me. Luckily, I can work on my laptop on the bed and he is happy to just lay next to me, but if I get up to go to the bathroom or get something to eat, he tends to wake up! He also likes being in the car, especially when it is moving, and is especially fond of watching his brothers and sister.

Olivia has been having some stress lately. She kept going to the nurse's office complaining she didn't feel well and wanted to go home. I finally took her to the doctor this week but it seems nothing is wrong, just stress. I've been emailing with her teacher to keep her on track. Poor baby is what the nurse calls triple type A. She seems to be doing better now, and her teacher and I both assured her that she's in a safe place and should not freak out- just relax and we will help her find a solution.

Salvatore is thriving. He loves his violin lessons and math club. We're working on his cub scouts requirements. His teacher said that he is a great joy, has a wonderful imagination, and is always talking about his love for pigs! It's funny because he only started with the pig fascination more recently, and he knows they are one of my favorite animals, but now he'll tell you that he always loved them.

Owen is tricky. He was better about doing homework this week. His teacher was getting concerned because he was having trouble writing his letters, but he seems to be improving. I think he's having trouble particularly because he is ambidextrous. He is superperson today and very excited about that.

Josh and I had a great anniversary. He took a couple of days off this week since he has them left to use. We had dinner at Maroni's, which was decadent and amazing. Josh bought me a new large wallet, which I really needed! My old wallet has fallen into pieces. I bought him some bags of Joffrey's coffee from some of his favorite restaurants at Disney World. It was nice because we had Wednesday off for Veteran's Day and the week felt short.

Otherwise, it's a lot of the same- working, fundraising, cleaning, etc. I'm baby stepping back into court appearances. I went to bankruptcy court last week and will go again on Tuesday. I don't want to start going too often, but it would be nice to have a little extra cash. We have lots of nice events coming up- Spanksgiving, Owen's birthday and Sebastian's baptism. So it's a busy time. Speaking of- I need to get back to work!
