Freaking Amazing Birthday Present
You all know I'm a nerd, this is nothing new. So perhaps you will slightly understand why I am so excited......
I, Rachel Reames, will be going to trial in my very first felony child abuse case on September 12th, 2006.
Yes - I will not only stand in court and actually say stuff, but I will be responsible for picking the jury, calling witnesses, objecting to defense counsel, responding to motions, opening arguments... etc. etc. etc. I'll just have an attorney supervisor who will watch (as required by law) to make sure I don't do anything illegal.
I guess this means I can't party-hard the night of my birthday..... ah well. Freaking amazing birthday present. Thank you life - you've been treating me very kindly lately.
