Fall

My kitchen smells of nutty brown rice, competing with the spicy heat of Tennessee Jim's peppers in my soup pot.

This isn't dinner, this is lunch for next week.

Dinner is leftover tortilla soup B. made me the other night, nervous to be cooking for me the first time. It was cute. Him, I mean. He was cute in his nervousness. The soup is delicious, and I have corn tortillas in the fridge to toast and add to the mix.

I'm cutting back my rosemary and oregano. I hope to get one last batch of pesto out of my basil Tuesday night.

I've done many loads of laundry (including bed skirt!) and turned my mattress.

When not working, I've been relaxing with Terry Pratchet's "I Shall Wear Midnight" on audiobook while making impressive progress on the arm warmers I don't yet know who will wear.

Oh, and I walked 2.75 miles this morning. You can get a lot done when you start your "lazy Sunday" at 7:30 a.m.).
