Even though I guessed who the killer was midway through the episode, I still enjoyed it. Still love Matt and Ronnie's banter and their friendship. LOVED seeing Martha's mom...erm, Adjoa Andoh. Alesha in a wig...FINALLY!!!

While I'm enjoying finding out about Jake and his background, I hope they won't go the same way as with Goren and his mom on Criminal Intent.

Jake makes me want to smack him - hardly a good response to invoke from the lead. Bring back James!

Unpopular opinion time- I actually like Jake. I like how he and Alesha challenge each other. *shrug* Different strokes for different folks.

I liked him up until the point he didn't tell Alesha why he was 'landing her in it' - as she thought. That was just dumb.

He did tell Alesha when he told her she would be questioning the wife that "it's personal". He figured that was enough. Also, I read either in the press release/packet for this season or an interview with the showrunner that he's supposed to be guarded about his private life.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it didn't bother me so much. However, I have a feeling it won't be the last time we hear about Jake's mom.

I know what he said - I was watching... I also read the press pack, doesn't stop it irritating me.
